On this page you’ll find a list of my favourite online tools.
These are the exact tools I’ve used to build Palms Up Club all by myself, with barely any budget to start up. I recommend them to my friends and clients all the time and I’m sure you’ll love them, too.
Heads up: some of the links on this page are affiliate links. That means if you click and sign up or purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools that I’ve personally used and love.
Online Presence
Squarespace - my own website is built with Squarespace and I also use it to design websites for my clients. I love Squarespace because of their beautiful and responsive design options. They make it super easy to manage your website and content, and their customer service and live chat is amazing!
Hover domain - I use Hover for my domain names, as they keep your contact information private with their free WHOIS privacy services (no more annoying spam calls or emails after registering a domain, yay!). If you use this link, you’ll receive $2 off your first purchase.
GSuite - I use GSuite for my email and love how easy and simple it is. It comes with a free Gmail account, but you can actually use a custom domain name for it, like xyz@yourdomainname.com.
Use this link and send me a message through my contact page with the subject GSuite Referral Code so that I can send you a discount code which gives you 20% off your first year.
Canva for Work - one of my all time favourite online tools! It allows you to create beautiful, branded graphics for your online presence and social media, and you really don’t have to be a tech whizz to use it well. The basic version is free. I use the Pro version, which allows you to store your branded colours and fonts.
Productivity
Trello - Trello is great to organise your projects and ideas. You can create boards, lists, and cards, enabling you to track progress and prioritise your tasks in a fun and flexible way. Imagine it as a digital pinboard for you to pop ideas on to, collate content suggestions and organise a team.
Asana - Similar to Trello, Asana is an online tool that offers project management for small business owners and teams. Set up project plans and workflows (e.g. a blog post creation workflow with all tasks related to it), assign tasks to others, set deadlines and more.
Acuity - Acuity scheduling is an online scheduling/booking tool. I use it for my own business to book in calls and appointments. It’s such a time saver, as you can simply send them the link to your booking page, and the rest is fully automated. Check it out here.
Google Drive - Perfect for sharing larger files with clients or your team as well as storing important documents in one place.
Marketing
Planoly - a scheduling tool for Instagram that is very visual. Planoly allows you to add up to 30 images for free a month or, alternatively, you can add more on their paid version. You can schedule/unschedule images, enter captions and create a hashtag bank of different hashtags that you can add to your posts in once click, which saves so much time. Check it out here.
Tailwind - a scheduling tool for Pinterest that allows you to pin posts and blogs to your account. It offers great reporting and analytics and saves you plenty of time (especially when you use the Tailwind browser extension to batch schedule pins). Sign up with this link and get a free month of Tailwind (worth $15).
MailerLite - MailerLite is my email marketing platform of choice. Their templates are great, I like their clean design and good usability. You can easily create a bank of branded graphics to pop into certain sections of your newsletter and every element is customisable. Check it out here.
Typeform - a clean and stylish online survey and questionnaire tool that has a wealth of ready-designed and customisable templates for you to gather feedback from your clients or do some customer research.
Finances & Money
QuickBooks - starting to use QuickBooks has been a complete game changer for me. It’s a brilliant accountancy tool that syncs with your bank account(s) and allows you to easily upload expenses, snap receipts on the go, create invoices, track your accounts and analyse your finances and profits. It’s perfect for small business owners and super easy to use and set up.
Both Tide and Starling are great for business banking (in the UK). They allow you to set up a business bank account in minutes - no fussy forms, no waiting around, no monthly fees. You can easily manage them with your phone and get notified when money is coming in or out.
